Holme Valley Green Week is an initiative we are establishing in the Holme Valley calendar inspired by the Climate Coalition. It is a week of collaborative action to combat climate change with events, workshops, exhibitions and more. Keep an eye on our social media for offers from local businesses and do join us at one or more of the following events:
A relaxed networking with a eco agenda! Expect friendly conversation over Fairtrade brews and local ale. The event is FREE but please CLICK HERE TO REGISTER for a ticket. Green Drinks runs from 6-8pm with an informal presentation from Suma Wholefoods at 6:30pm.
Organised by Holme Valley Climate Action Partnership at Holmfirth Tech from 5pm-7:30pm is a free event to cover ALL your energy questions, whether for your home, business, or local community building.
Join us at Holmfirth Library from 10:30am-12noon for a morning of SCRAPtastic crafting in partnership with EPIKS and Walk, Wheel, Ride. Come along to make a collaborative artwork and share your thoughts on what makes Holmfirth a special place to walk, wheel and ride in! You’ll also get to make SCRAPtastic artwork to take home.
Join us from 10am-2pm to celebrate all things green in the Holme Valley! With green and sustainability activities for all ages, including a Fairtrade cafe, book swap, local green organisations, smoothie bike and MORE. Plus, the event is completely FREE to attend! Drop in for 10 minutes or a couple of hours – we’d love to see you.
The Repair Cafe runs on the first Saturday of every month. Just bring your item for fixing and if the team can repair it, they will. They start at 10 and pack away at 1pm; first come first served. We can vouch for their services as they fixed our smoothie bike!
