To celebrate World Fairtrade Day we held a Schools Conference at Halifax Minster – we had a brilliant day, ending with a very special song written especially for the event by Cheryl Camm from Sea Pie Parcel:
What do you get if you assemble a bunch of red and pink roses, a Tibetan Singing Bowl, a colourful Thai pointy hat and a bunch of bananas (all Fairtrade items of course), eager children from nine local schools, several teachers, the beautiful and resonant Halifax Minster, a cheery composer and assorted sound producing paraphernalia? Oh, and the boundless imagination, enthusiasm and commitment of Helen and Sophie from fairandfunky?
