A creative workshop for KS2 children that explores climate change, global warming and carbon footprint, discovering the impact of individual action and how to combat the environmental problems the world faces today. A range of brilliant child centred activities throughout the session include: an interactive quiz, food mapping around the globe, pollution activity, and seed planting.
The workshop enables participants to develop their speaking and listening skills; to talk about their opinions and explain their views. Students also develop a sense of social justice and moral responsibility; recognising their sense of place in the world.
Each student also designs and creates individual artwork from recycled materials.
‘Climate Change’ provides links across the curriculum, connecting citizenship with Literacy, Science and Geography.
