‘Chocolate and Fairtrade’ is a thought provoking workshop, adaptable for either KS1 or KS2 and takes students on the journey of cocoa, exploring supply chains and discovering the importance of Fairtrade.

Through games, debates, workshops and presentations, participants develop their speaking and listening skills; are able to talk about their opinions and explain their views. Students will also develop their sense of social justice and moral responsibility; recognising the role of voluntary, community and pressure groups.

Learning objectives
This workshop provides links with citizenship across the curriculum, connecting PHSCE with Literacy, Numeracy and Geography. The workshop can be adapted to meet the individual requirements of your school topics to link with particular countries.
This 90 minute workshop costs £175 (plus travel if outside Kirklees) and assumes a class size of 30 children. This includes two members of staff and all material costs, a certificate of participation for the class and a digital review of the workshop.
