‘My Voice Matters’ will feature a series of engaging workshops, interactive activities, and a vibrant creative café where you can connect with like-minded individuals and local organisations. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:
Stay Safe – Self-Defence Workshop by Freedom Personal Safety
Led by Julie from Freedom Personal Safety, this session is tailored for women and girls aged 12+. Learn simple but effective self-defence techniques in a supportive and interactive environment. Write to Your Voice – Creative Writing Workshop with Rose Condo
Unlock your creativity with award-winning poet and educator, Rose Condo. This writing workshop will help you connect with your voice and explore the inspiring, imaginative, and powerful things you have to say. Get Creative with Cicely Rae
Holmfirth-based sustainable content creator Cicely Rae will be popping up in our creative café to host a creative corner. Bring your own project from home or dive into making beaded jewellery like bracelets, croc charms, and phone charms, whilst connecting with other likeminded creatives! No booking needed, just come along and get stuck in.
Write Letters with Give… a Few Words
Take part in a heartwarming letter-writing activity at our creative cafe with our friends from Give… a Few Words. Use the power of words to write messages of kindness and encouragement to spread some cheer to a person who just needs a few words to make their day a little bit brighter. No booking needed, just pick up a pen and get scribbling.
