It’s time to celebrate as we host a SCRAPtastic book launch party at Café Ollo in The Media Centre, Huddersfield on Monday 11th December from 5pm.
‘SCRAPtastic!’ the book was funded by a crowd-funding campaign as part of fairandfunky’s 5th birthday celebrations. With FIVE chapters, each with FIVE crafts, the book is packed full of crafty ideas to recycle your household and everyday rubbish. SCRAPtastic transforms plastic bottles, cardboard, fabric, paper and plastic into works of art with quick, easy to follow instructions.
In all fairandfunky workshops only recycled materials are used; building a community of SCRAPtastic crafters, recycling rubbish to create inspirational works of art and wonder. In the past 5 years fairandfunky SCRAPtastic workshops have reused and recycled 2.25 tonnes of rubbish.
SCRAPtastic Book aims to build a bigger community of SCRAPtastic crafters, reducing the amount of household rubbish going to landfill, and enabling crafters of all ages to take their own little steps to change the world.
To celebrate the launch of ‘SCRAPtastic!’ we are also running FREE Christmas SCRAPtastic workshops across Kirklees on the following dates. At each event ‘SCRAPtastic!’ book will be for sale; do join in and get SCRAPtastic!
